Update: Japan Quake Disrupts Power and Rail Services
A powerful quake in Japan knocked out power to roughly 800 buildings, Tohoku Electric said. Kyodo reported that East Japan Railway and sections of the Tohoku Shinkansen have suspended services. Authorities confirmed that the Onagawa nuclear plant showed no issues after inspections.
